What is Participative Design..

  • Participative Design is a methodology for work (re) design developed by the Australian social scientist Fred Emery. Participative Design allows organizations to redesign themselves quickly and cost effectively through the direct involvement of the people whose work is changing. The vehicle to do the redesign is call the Participative Design Workshop.
  • The methodology provides participants with clear concepts and simple tools which allow them to analyze their situation, redesign their work and develop improvement strategies in a matter of days.
  • This method of participative change allows an entire organization to be redesigned by those who best understand it in the course of a few months.
  • The outcome of the participative design process is a highly flexible, actively adaptive organization.
